Ever wonder why XL bullies get such a bad rap? You’ve probably heard the horror stories in the news about vicious attacks and even deaths caused by these dogs. But are XL bullies really dangerous by nature or is there more to the story? The truth may surprise you. As an XL bully owner yourself, you know your dog is a big softie. Sure, their size and booming bark can be intimidating, but that’s where their “ferocity” ends. XL bullies are unfairly stereotyped and discriminated against due to their breed and appearance alone. Before we label them dangerous, we need to consider the role of irresponsible owners and how a dog’s upbringing and environment shapes their behavior. The reality is, when it comes to determining a dog’s aggression, nature is only part of the equation. Nurture plays an equally significant role.

Thanks to scaremongering in the media and breed bans across the globe, they’ve been labeled “dangerous dogs.” But are XL Bullies actually inherently aggressive? The truth is, these dogs can make great companions when in the right hands.
