I almost made more than half a million working with a road-side mechanic for just one month.
That was how I knew that these guys dressed in dirty working clothes, looking like mad men were making money.

Ok. This man was my dad's mechanic.
Specialist in anything Mercedes.
He was good. Really good.
There was scarcely any problem in Mercedes he hadn't experienced or solved before - thanks to his years of experience.
He had a lot of customers who were loyal to him - my dad being one of the many.
So here's where I come in.
I was then an undergraduate. Studying mechanical engineering at the Federal University of Technology Owerri, Imo state, Nigeria.
So I suggested to my dad I interned with this man.
This was so I could leverage on his experience and expertise to practically build up and fast-track my learning journey
My dad talked to him and he ( the mechanic) obliged.
He respects my dad a lot and saw it as an honor to have my dad's son train under him.
" Emma( the mechanic) said he'll do his best. He'll teach you all he knows that you need to beat the competition out there.
He said there's so many things company engineers who parade as graduates don't know
... and these are the secrets he'll teach you.
He further added that when you're done with the training you'll become hot cake." - my dad said the evening he returned after meeting him.
I smiled.
"When are you starting your IT?" - my dad asked.
"Next month"- I replied.
