Does Your Cat Enjoy Sex?
GF Judy and I had a wonderful experience being picked out of the many people wanting to adopt cats by our cat companion, Bijou. We agreed, we’d recommend the Morris Animal Refuge to anyone in the Philadelphia area who wanted to adopt. Not only do they have a caring staff but they provide a physical exam, spay or neutering service, vaccines and flee treatment for the feral cats they rescue.
My Friend
I was having lunch with Irving an associate in the real estate business whose wife of 30 some years had recently left him. Their kids were grown and had families of their own. Irv was on his own knocking around in the large house his family, in happier days, shared. His ex-wife got a generous settlement, packed her bags and high-tailed it to live/play in Florida.
My friend was lonely.
Not yet ready for any new serious emotional involvement I suggested Irv get a pet.
Surprisingly, he seemed moderately enthusiastic about the idea.
“Brian, it’s a good idea but I live in the city and I don’t think I’m up to following around a dog on a leash with a plastic glove twice a day or more.” he lamented.
The Perfect Solution
“Irv — get a cat!” I advised.
“I have one and he’s great.” I gushed.
I could tell my friend was considering it.
Irv Looks For A Cat
It took about a week for Irv to make up his mind to explore hooking up with a cat companion.
Naturally, I recommended the Morris Animal Refuge. I even volunteered to accompany him if he decided to take his search to that sanctuary.
Irv, a guy who graduated, married his college sweetheart, started in business, had four kids one after another proved to be pretty naive when it came to feline behavior. I found out when we visited the Morris shelter.
We were welcomed by a matronly volunteer who gave us a brief explanation of the history of the Refuge and the rules for adoption.
