Fiction Faction: Write for Us
Note: Our Submission Guidelines Have Changed
Do you write short fiction, flash fiction and/or serial fiction? Fiction Faction is seeking fiction writers of a certain kind… writers of stories with an element of the dark, mysterious, or supernatural.
Stories that get under your skin.
Stories that make you close the drapes.
Stories that creep you out and stick with you long after dark.
We only ask that you write great stories that readers will love without obvious distractions in your writing style.
Sound like you? Apply to be a writer for Fiction Faction.
Due to excessive requests by writers who never submit a story, we have revised our submission guidelines.
Submission Guidelines
Comments are closed. Writer requests must be submitted through the writer request form.
Stories must be well-written with minimal editing required.
To request writer status on Fiction Faction, you must have an unpublished draft of your story *on Medium* and include the draft link in the request on the form. (Do not submit a link to a Google Doc. Your unpublished draft must be on Medium.)
Story genre should be in the realm of dark fiction, perhaps stories with an element of the supernatural, or otherwise fantastic tales of the horror, thriller, and suspense genres. Think Twilight Zone and X-Files, Halloween and Friday the 13th, The Usual Suspects and Gone Girl, Godzilla and Cloverfield.
Please include a title and subtitle.
Please include a feature image, landscape orientation, credited, with no text on the image, right at the top of your story, beneath the subtitle. (See the other stories published on FF for examples of format. Every story should begin with Title / Subtitle / Feature Image). There are no exceptions to this formatting rule and submissions not meeting the requirements will be disregarded.
