Humane World

This life is such a weird dance — eternity is of unknown age! We are the Universe’s single glance And still are here locked in a cage — Like a simple dying candle Amongst the angry sighs of the land. How can we are trying to handle The idea, we’re grains of sand, A guest “de trop” of this neat place That bounds us with invisible ropes. In these impersonal lost days Where did we dig in our hopes? Too much hubris and pretensions — They do not cost even a penny. Too much lack of comprehension On our spiritual poverty, we’re hanging… We stumble — where lead our steps — They’re setting off landslides. Where is our shame? It lacks. The wave to Hell we dare to ride. We kill what is in the soul inside Maybe in the name of progress. Our fear deeply hides Hand in hand with the stress.

We dig day by day our graves To bury quickly the trivial aims. Our reveries die at the end of the days — We spend them with all we gain. And our pockets are always empty. Who would look so deep inside? We drown in desperation — it is plenty! We drug along, dreaming we fly. Sometimes I feel like this world is covered with gloomy, grey shades. I am trying hard to stay optimistic and believe in it and humans regardless of the not-so-humane examples that pour on us. I do not exclude myself when I am talking about the whole picture. The world affects us and we affect it, too. I wish you all numerous reasons for flying even if they’re just in our imagination. Thanks to Scuzzbucket for giving me the chance to publish my poetry in the
