Ideology is destroying the world. The *far* right is stupid. The *far* left are liars.
There seems to be a pandemic of non-thinking going on.
Where are the community-minded centrists that pick and choose from the offerings of both sides of the smorgasbord of politics?
I’m a centrist because I love the moderate ideals of both the left and the right. But I’m not a fan of classic centrism either. Libertarians are too insular for my liking.
So I plonk myself in the apparently unique category of ‘community-minded’ centrist. As such I’d recommend stances of pro universal health and welfare, pro business & local manufacturing, pro climate change action & pro green tech solutions to climate change and energy independence.
And no cancelling people.
The extremes of the political spectrum and even moderates on both sides?
It’s getting crazy.
Ideology
Ideology is important.
Culturally, to believe in something.
But it’s gotta be evidence-based in practice.
Instead, think the lack of real world honesty displayed by both the classic ideologues for us in American life today, for example.
It’s horrific. Truly. Divisive.
Its an indictment on society.

GM led the way in EVs. Tesla’s not invited to the EV summit. We don’t endorse cancel culture. But it’s OK to sack board members who are also members of mainstream Christian orgs. Free discussion of Covid origin theories and vaccine side-effects was always facilitated in media & big tech. Defund the Police / Critical Race Theory is not divisive.
