So, why would a man sleep with a married woman?

Great question that comes from a good friend of mine who thinks it’s very odd he is dating a woman who happens to be married.

He thinks it is odd because he feels an intense amount of guilt and uncertainty about his decision to pursue this woman.

This woman… who is married to another man.

So in answering the question of why would a man sleep with a married woman I must confess I have done the same thing several times in my past.

Am I proud of it?

No.

Do I regret it?

Certainly not!

At that time, when I was a younger man, it just seemed like the correct thing to do at that moment.

However, in reflection some years later there is obviously some regret for me. And for my friend above.

Why would a man sleep with a married woman?

Here I am going to list the four reasons why I did… and other men do, in fact… pursue and have relationships with women who are married.

Number one: the excitement of potentially getting caught.

I know. I know. I know! This is stupid.

But, when you are a young man and you want some excitement in your life above and beyond your normal daily activities, the challenge and excitement of sleeping with a married woman is unequaled!

Really, it is! Trust me on this.

You’re always in fear of the husband catching on to what is happening and then having some sort of confrontation with him.

Strange as it sounds it brings with it a sense of excitement that “normal” relationships do not bring.

Number two: the challenge!

In order for a man to be attractive enough for a married woman to take a risk on sleeping with you, YOU must be a man of considerable value.
