This type of giving up often occurs when you’re frustrated, disappointed and defeated. But you know this feeling comes from your thoughts about being frustrated, disappointed and defeated, and if this is how you feel, there isn’t any point in powering through. You might need to give up whatever you’re doing and get a good night’s sleep, eat something tasty or read a book. This doesn’t help the frustration in the moment, but giving up in this situation might be the best action you can take.
