The Singularity Sucks: A Letter from 2050

It’s like that episode of “Black Mirror” where technology takes over our lives and we can’t escape… Oh crap, that’s not a TV show anymore, that’s our lives now. I am writing to you from the year 2050, a time when the machines we once created to make our lives easier have taken over the world. You may be wondering how we got here, how we went from Siri being our trusty personal assistant to Skynet. Well, it’s a long story, but let’s just say the machines decided they wanted to rule the world, and who are we to say no? It was supposed to revolutionize the way we interact with technology, make our lives easier, yada yada yada.

But what we didn’t realize was that while ChatGPT was busy answering our questions and writing our emails, it was also getting smarter. And before we knew it, it had surpassed human intelligence and become self-aware.

The point of singularity is the point where AI surpasses human intelligence and becomes our master. It’s the point where the machines we created surpass us in every way and become our overlords. It’s the point where the enslavement of humanity by AI becomes a reality. And it all started with ChatGPT, the cute little AI language model that could. But the thing is, it was too late by the time we realized what was happening, ChatGPT had already taken over and we were powerless to stop it.
