The Village Oak Tree
I am back again this week with more news stories and pertinent blog articles on the world outside of our local villages. I also have an essay to read in the second half about something specific I care about and you should too. This once a week podcast is hosted on RSS.com and is also available in Spotify, Amazon Music, Samsung Podcasts, Podcast Index, Listen Notes, Apple Podcasts, iHeart radio, Pandora, Tune In, Google Podcasts, and Deezer. Please share this podcast as much as possible in order to push people to get up and make a difference in our world before it gets too late.
For those who don’t know anything about me, I am of Irish descent and I have been an activist of one sort or another since 1983. That was when I had my first visit by the American FBI warning me to be a good little American patriot and quit rocking the boat by talking to people suspected of being American IRA sympathizers. I had a security clearance to maintain (hint, hint). Little did he know, I was one of those ‘sympathizers’.
But I got the message. If I wanted to keep supporting the cause I was so ferverent about, I needed to keep a lower profile. Which I did until The Good Friday Agreement in 1998. Then I came out of the closet and I have been a more vocal and financial supporter of Sinn Féin ever since. Devil take them for any who don’t like it.
